The Norseman 447 is built in the Ta Shing Shipyard and designed by Bob Perry, who states that this is his "masterpiece" of sailboat designs. One of the most customized Norsemans to come from the factory with a unique split berth forward offering additional storage. New chain plates, turn buckles and standing rigging (2016), with the mast and boom freshly painted. Recent service on the Lehman diesel and Westerbeke generator. Long time owners have maintained the vessel in Yacht Club fashion. Must see to appreciate.

Accommodations

The interior cabinetry is flawless grain Burmese teak with laminated curved doorways and cabinet trim. Drawers have dovetail corners adding strength to the joints. The entire cabin sole is teak & holly with protective cut and bound carpet over.  Salon cushions (2014).

Aft of the chain locker in the forepeak are two single berths with cabinets & shelves port and starboard. There is an opening Goiot hatch overhead, a deck prism, an opening port, a hanging locker to starboard and a pocket door for privacy which slides on Teflon

Forward head follows to port with Groco electric marine toilet, stainless sink, teak floor grate, sump pump, mirrored cabinet and an opening port. Opposite to starboard is another hanging locker.

Salon is next with a U-shaped settee & dinette to port. The varnished teak dinette has a hi-lo base and a fold up leaf. Opposite to starboard is a single settee which converts to over/under berths. There are shelves and lockers outboard of both settees, and a color TV to port. Navigation area follows to starboard with electrical panel outboard, a swivel seat and 2 deck prisms for natural light. U-shaped cruising galley is to port of the companionway.

Aft of the Navigation area is the passageway to the owner’s aft cabin with a wet locker. Outboard on the passageway is the generator in a sound insulated compartment. Inboard on the passageway is the main engine accessible through two large hinged doors.

Owner’s aft cabin has a full beam berth with drawers below. There are two hanging lockers to starboard, cabinets & shelves port and starboard, an opening port to starboard, two port lights on the transom and an opening Goiot hatch overhead. There is a mirrored bulkhead and an adjoining head to port with separate stall shower, stainless sink, Groco electric marine toilet, two opening ports, and a mirrored cabinet. From the salon on center is the companionway with five steps leading up to the oval center cockpit.
