Accomodations

The 43’DeFever is a true displacement trawler with a distinctive flush deck profile; she was built in Taiwan of solid fiberglass with a deep keel, moderate beam and simulated lapstrake hullsides. Worth noting is the 40,000 lb. plus displacement and tremendous fuel tankage – this is a serious offshore cruiser with an honest 1,500 mile range.

The flushdeck layout of the DeFever 43’ results in a very large afterdeck and provides a full beam master stateroom below. It also provides a spacious engine room with excellent outboard engine access. Her two-stateroom floorplan is arranged with the U-shape galley aft rather than forward in the salon like many other builders.

Visibility from the lower helm is very good and with port and starboard deck doors providing good egress and access to the exterior side-decks. Teak paneling and teak parquet floors are used throughout the interior. The flybridge is large and spacious and provides more than ample seating for guest
